This album features Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica's transcriptions of the intellectual space-age pop sounds of Juan Garcia Esquivel. Recorded live by the 23-piece big band, the Orchestrotica pays tribute to Esquivel's unique contributions to the world of lounge, studio orchestras, and latin big-band music. This is the first recording of the Orchestrotica's transcriptions of Esquivel's lost arrangements and is the debut in the Exotica for Modern Living series.

about

Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica Boston, Massachusetts

Mr. Ho's Orchestrotica performs as two ensembles. The quintet performs global jazz and exotic chamber music reaching towards the South Pacific via Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans, and Latin America, while the group's 22-pc Megaband formation is the world's only dedicated to performing the lost-but-now-transcribed space-age pop music of Juan Garcia Esquivel. ... more
